Elaine Starkey | Co-founder and CEO  

Elaine Starkey merged her publishing business into studylane bringing the high profile industry guide ‘AIETG’ contacts and content into the company. 

Elaine has published many print and eBooks for Austrade and run a successful publishing company. She has won many sales awards over her career including being one of the foundation sales team for Ryanair.

Elaine has a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Applied Psychology and a HDE from University College Cork.

John McPartland | VP International

John plays a lead role in developing institution strategy and the activities in relation to university and education provider engagement for GSP.

John brings to GSP over 30 years of higher education experience in Australia and Europe at a senior management level responsible for the development and implementation of strategy to support a comprehensive approach to internationalisation. John’s experience spans Director and GM roles with responsibility for international student recruitment, two-way student mobility, exchange and partnerships, offshore program development, and business development. John has worked with some of the leading universities in the world including Monash, La Trobe, Trinity College Dublin, and most recently with Bond University.

Paul Mullally | Regional Director

Paul Mullally began his career in science laboratories and moved to working in the Higher Education field in 2007. He has been directly involved with student recruitment from a range of different countries and regions, and he has worked for several institutions over the years including two in Ireland: Griffith College and Maynooth University. He was also a former Deputy Director of Griffith International at Griffith University in Australia. Over the last 2.5 years, Paul has been an international education consultant and has worked with universities in Ireland, UK, US, Australia, and NZ to help with their internationalisation strategies.

Paul has contributed to the development of international education over the years by writing internationalisation strategies and implementing them for institutions as well as contributing to national and international discussions and forums relating to international education. He has attended, exhibited, and presented at many international conferences around the world.

Steven Ezzes | Managing Director (USA)  

Steve Ezzes joined studylane as Managing Director for the USA and Chairman of the Board in early 2016.

Steve hails from a distinguished career in investment banking in New York with previous roles with Mariner Investment Group, TH Lee among others.

Steve has a long standing connection with Australia including serving as a Board Director of OzEmail with Australia’s current Prime Minister, Malcolm Turnbull. He was instrumental in OzEmail’s successful initial public offering and listing on the NASDAQ stock exchange in 1996.

Shivali Mehendale | Country Manager – India   

Shivali has over 15 years of detailed experience working in the international education industry in India.

She has spent several years in hands-on face-to-face student counseling roles, delivering educational options and outcomes to Indian students wishing to study in Australia. Importantly, for the past 8 years, Shivali has been responsible for marketing and representing an Australian university in India.

Using this deep regional operational knowledge and network of agents and influencers in the Indian market and her experience of the Australian education system requirements, Shivali is responsible for the development and management the GSP agent network program for India.

Nicole Zabbal | Manager – Student Counselling   

Nicole has over twenty years’ experience in international and onshore education. She has been instrumental in the development of key national education and training initiatives that effect long-lasting social and economic change through learning in TAFE NSW colleges and OTEN. Nicole was also the recipient of two significant national research projects through the Western Sydney Institute, Invitation to Innovate (i2i) Fund.

Overseas, Nicole was involved in integrated capacity building programs through various donor agencies, including UNICEF, USAID and the Canadian Embassy, as well as international educational institutions including AMIDEAST and the American University in Cairo.
